In this fast-paced free-for-all, written by Marshall Karp, a
young couple’s happy home life is threatened. The bride’s widowed father needed
a place to stay, but they hadn’t counted on the groom’s mom losing her house at
the same time. They’d already realized it wasn’t safe to have these in-laws in
the same building after his unhappy mom threatened to kill her complaining dad
at the wedding. Storm clouds are looming
again.
Paul Barile directs the show. The cast includes: Joe
Bonadonna and Valerie Querns as the young couple; Julie Mitre and Manny Schenk
as their respective parents; and also features Mark Kroon, Steve Salemi and
Leah Cozad.
The show will be produced by special permission from Samuel
French Inc.
Through Oct. 28, season tickets will be on sale for the
four-show 2012-13 season. Adults pay $64 and students and seniors pay $48 for
four tickets. Other shows in the season will include: “Little Women – The
Musical” (Feb. 16 to March 3, 2013); “You Be The Jury: The State vs. Max
Cooper” a courtroom drama (May 4 to 19, 2013); and “The Cemetery Tree” a lite
comedy-drama (August 10 to 25). Tickets can be used at any of the season
performances.
The James Downing Theatre and the John Waldron Arts Center
are sponsored programs of the Edison Park United Methodist Church.
