Bang Bang You're Dead addresses the issue gun violence in our schools. Chicago leads the nation in gun deaths with over 42 deaths recorded this year. This weekend will be our last two shows at James Downing Theatre. We hope that doors open that allow us to continue to produce this play in other venues. After each of the performances we have a discussion with the director, actors and audience.
In one discussion, a policeman for the 16th District said, "I was so moved by this play. I work with teenagers just like these and I wish this play could be seen by a much larger group. The mayor's office should be made aware that this play is being done." If you have not seen this play, come out and see it this weekend. (The play is free but donations are accepted)
